Dopo l'annuncio di annullamento dell'edizione 2019 di Interbike, una delle più grandi fiere mondiali di biciclette, accessori e componenti, questa volta è invece la fiera tedesca, che avrebbe festeggiato quest'anno il suo decimo compleanno, a dare il triste annuncio.

Come si legge nella pagina Facebook ufficiale dell'evento, gli organizzatori gettano la spugna e cancellano, a pochi mesi dall'apertura, la data del 2019. Questo il testo integrale:

Dear Berliner Fahrradschau Fans, With regret, we have to announce the cancellation of the 10-year anniversary edition of the Berliner Fahrradschau. Due to current developments, the organization of the show for 2019 is no longer possible. We want to thank you for making the show what is was - more than just a bike fair. We shared an attitude to life and made a statement for the bicycle scene to move beyond the norm. We are sad about this development and now we have to set ourselves on our bikes for a bit. As individuals, we will continue to pursue new ideas and visions around the bicycle on social, political and industrial levels and surely will remain engaged in the cycling culture that we love. Until then, we thank you all for 9 great years. We think that together we have left a lasting impression on the world of cycling.

La Berliner Fahrradschau era forse la fiera più importante d’Europa nel campo del Cycle Lifestyle e a questo punto ci chiediamo quale possa essere il futuro delle fiere di settore, visti gli accadimenti degli ultimi tempi.
